"Tribute to Dominican Republic baseball players in Chicago"
Before the Chicago White Sox and the Detrot Tigers faced off for a 7:11pm game on last August 6,athletes from both teams united on-field tribute to the players from the Dominica Republic who have changed the face of baseball and served as positive role models to millions of youth troughout the world.
Lt. Governor Pat Quinn and Giselle Castillo Vremis, Consul General of The Dominican Republic in Chicago, joined the Chicago White Sox,The Detroit Tigers and Dominican schoolchildren in a pre-game salute to the nine players.
Also joined this Tribute Patricia Maza Pittford, Consul General of El Salvador and Dean of the Chicago Consular Corps, ans Boris Svetogorsky, Consul General of Uruguay and President of the Association of Iberoamerican Consul Generals accredited in Chicago.

SAFET 1000 - Certification for Workers (Osha)
The occupational Safety and Health Administration (osha) is providing help and care to the inmigrants workers in colaboration with the Truman College.
The program "safety 1000" is dedicated to certified a large number of hispanic workers to avoid accident and death in worker areas.
The goal is to provide trainning to employers with latino workers and the classes will be provided in Spanish.

AMERICAN AIRLINES WILL BEGIN SESASONAL NONSTOP SERVICE BETWEEN ITS MIAMI HUB AND MONTEVIDEO- URUGUAY THIS NOVEMBER.
THE SEASONAL SERVICE WAS ORIGINALLY INTRODUCE IN 2004 AND IS BEING RENEWED THIS YEAR AS A RESULT OF ITS SUCCESS.
AMERICAN AIRLINES NON STOP FLIGHT WILL OPERATE FROM NOV 17 TO APRIL 10 2007, AND WILL BE FLOWN THREE TIMES WEEKLY IN EACH DIRECTION.

Step 1 - shedule a visa interview on line.
Step 2- Each applicant must have a Form DS156 - Male applicants between the ages 16-45 must also have a Form DS157.
Applicant studen or exchange visas must also have a Form DS158.
Step 3 - Pay the visa application fee at any branch of Indumex in Montevideo.
And follow other instructions indicated in the Procedure.
